Check out this brief video on my Design Ethos.
It sums up what I care about in design the most.
Designer Thesis Statement
Innovative technology has changed the way we perceive the reality of what matters. When we rely on technology daily, it comes with an expectation that fundamental systems that society runs upon with work the same way. Without genuine experiences, we can lose our capability to be good humans. Design is capable of bringing human qualities to everything we use that makes it part of humanity. The fundamental issues that people deal with daily need to be resolved before change can happen.
I am a communication designer graduated from Carnegie Mellon University class of May 2016. I design for people by making thought provoking, inspiring and clear communications. People are constantly being thrown challenges and situations, are there things we as designers can fix in order to make life a little easier? Design should not just solve problems, it should connect personally to each individual whom experiences it. I design for systems, services and social experiences that matter.
Beautiful things make people happy, but good design makes you feel relief. No matter the challenge, I work until I know I have found the solution. Every minute counts to communicate something effectively, but my days are not spent solely on the computer. I research, analyze and explore the world. I take photos, read Communication Arts, watch documentaries and learn about human tendencies through psychology. Understanding how people think is the only way to design something that will change the way people think.
Currently, I work for American Eagle Outfitters as an Associate Digital Designer. As I am not looking for Full-Time work, feel free to contact me about any projects you are interested in. Thank you!
